Advertising in American Poets

Launched in 1996, American Poets is the Academy's biannual magazine, released in April and October each year.

Why advertise in American Poets?

Reach: The Academy of American Poets has the largest membership of any poetry organization in the U.S., and all of our members receive a subscription to American Poets. Total distribution is over 9,000 copies.

Targeted Audience: American Poets reaches devoted readers and writers of poetry and all genres of literature, students of poetry, some of the most renowned and respected poets of our time, and some of the nation's most generous patrons of poetry.

Positive Perception: We view our ads as a service to the poetry community, and therefore only accept ads that we feel will be beneficial to our readers.

Supports the Academy: When you advertise with the Academy of American Poets, you help support our free publications and programs, including this website.
